Lens Adapters
Lens adapters help to bridge the gap between mismatched brands and mount types, enabling photographers and videographers to upgrade their equipment from the likes of a DSLR system to the newer mirrorless system. For example, the Canon RF to EF mount adapter allows the user to use Canon EF lenses on the Canon EOS mirrorless system.
Other examples are the Sigma MC-21 L-mount Adapter for Canon EF that allows Sigma’s Canon EF interchangeable lenses to be mounted on L-mount cameras like the Sigma fp. Read more...

For many photographers and videographers, a lens adapter is an affordable and essential piece of equipment that can add versatility whilst also saving money. Lens adapters allow users to utilise current lenses in their camera bag with newer camera systems or different camera brands that would otherwise be incompatible.
Do you need a lens adapter?
A lens adapter opens up new lens possibilities. For example, the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS M will allow users to attach a huge range of Canon EF and EF-S lenses to the Canon M system.
Nikon F Mount G Lens MF allows you to attach a Nikon F-mount lens with manual focus to a Fujifilm GFX medium format body.
Do lens adapters affect focal length?
The only time a lens adapter will affect focal length is when you’re using a full-frame lens with an APS-C or micro four-thirds sensor camera. This can then change the equivalent focal length.
Do lens adapters affect quality?
Typically the lens adapter is glassless and only adjusts the lens to sensor plane distance, this results in very little or no quality loss at all.
