Hasselblad X2D 100C Medium Format Camera - Ex Demo

The leading developer of medium format cameras, Hasselblad has continued to use its expertise and skills to create the X2D 100C Medium Format Camera. This brand new camera features a 100Mp bask-side illuminated CMOS sensor, capable of capturing images with a 15-stop dynamic range and up to 25600 ISO.

This is an open box item but is in full working order, as new, and comes with a 12-month warranty.

BSI Sensor

The back side illuminated CMOS sensor has been integrated into the X2D 100C camera body, reducing noise when capturing images or footage. The use of a BSI sensor assists in reducing or eliminating colour casts affecting your overall image when using camera movements.

Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution

Featuring Hasselblad’s natural colour solution, this system helps to deliver the best possible natural colours for your image from the selected chip. The HNCS system is able to conduct this selection without choosing from multiple pre-sets or simulations. This allows for a far smoother tonal transition.

Analogue quality straight out of the camera

The natural colour solution system allows you to capture images with a film-like image quality straight out of the camera. Taking you back to the timeless style of analogue medium format cameras like a Minolta or Rolleiflex camera. This is achieved thanks to the X2D 100C’s 16-bit colour definition. Hasselblad RGB is able to pick up and detect more colour spacing in comparison to standard sRGB or Adobe RGB (1988), enabling you to capture colours closer to their natural tone.

Phase Detection Autofocus

The sensor has been designed with 896 phase detection autofocus points, grouped into 294 zones, allowing for super fast and accurate autofocus. The X2D supports single-shot AF and assisted MF, enabling you to get the perfect in-focus image every time. The PDAF pixels allow MF to display accurately which way to turn for focus.

Contrast Detection

The sensor also features non-PDAF pixels, these points assist AF via contrast detection along with the PDAF, allowing for CDAF PDAF assist. The combination of these two autofocus features lets you achieve highly accurate autofocus.

In-Body Image Stabilisation

The Hasselblad X2D 100C medium format camera features the world's smallest digital MF 5-axis 7-stop in-body image stabilisation unit, allowing for image stabilisation across 5 -axis including vertical shift, horizontal shift, yaw, pitch and roll. This compact IBIS unit has been designed in-house to meet Hasselblad's high standard specifications. The IBIS system can also work with non-XCD lenses.

High Volume Internal Storage

The X2D 100C has been created with an in-built 1TB SSD (Solid State Drive) internal storage system. The vast amount of storage space available allows you to hold approximately 4600 uncompressed raw images each with an approximate average 217MB file size. A 2370MB/s writing and 1850 MB/s reading speed enable photos and images to be processed and stored quicking on the internal SSD internal storage system.

Available external storage

A single CF Express Type-B card slot is available in the body of the X2D. Letting you insert a CF Express card into the camera, a 128GB card can store approximately 512 uncompressed raw images when used with the Hasselblad X2D 100C camera. This can be used as a handy overflow when the internal storage becomes full, it can also offer a handy second space to back up some of your key photographs. Speeds can vary depending upon the card used.

Improved EVF

Designed with a 0.5-inch OLED display, with a 1600 x 1200, 5.76 million dot resolution and a 24-bit colour, helping to display what is visible through the lens as accurately as possible. The EVF displays the image with a 1.0x magnification and a 100% viewing area.

Electric refractive error correction

Featuring electric refractive error correction to adjust for individual dioptre correction, allowing you to adjust and customize the viewfinder to see a clear, focused image without using glasses or contact lenses to correct your vision.

Tilting rear display

Built with a 3.6-inch display, the X2D 100C main rear display features 1024 x 768, 2.36MP resolution with 24-bit colour. This rear display is able to adjust and tilts between 0° - 70° with click stops at 40° and 70°. When the rear display is tilted to 70°, you can use the camera in the same shoot-from-the-hip style as a classic Rolleiflex 120 film camera. It can also make it easier to take photographs close to the ground without having to contort yourself into difficult positions.

Handy shoulder display

The top righthand side of the camera body features an extremely useful shoulder display. This new 1.08-inch colour LCD display shows useful information like shooting parameters, frames remaining and battery level.

Easy-to-use updated user interface

The HUI has been updated on the brand new Hasselblad X2D 100C camera. Now consists of 12 user-programable icons in a simplified and easy-to-use structure.
