Kondor Blue Sony A7 Series Base Rig
Kondor Blue has developed a series of rig setups specially designed for the SonyA7 Series. Their Base Rig has been designed to provide you with the basic key elements to developing and using your own rig. This set-up is ideal for use with the Sony A1, Sony A7R IV, and the Sony 7S III. Consisting of the Sony A7 series cage with LANC NATO top handle, an Arri/501 baseplate, a Sone E mount cine cap and finally two PSSH 15MM rods. This set-up can be added onto a large rig or used individually, allowing you some flexibility while filming.
Sony A7 Series Cage with Trigger Top Handles
The basis of this rig is the Sony A7 Series cage and top handle. Features a quick-release Arce swiss plate system, NATO rails on left and topside of the cage, 3 cold shoes on top handle and cage. Along with an open hot-shoe design for the XLR module. All these features allow you to carefully structure your rig in a way that perfectly suits you. With the ability to add additional accessories to the rig thanks to the multiple 1/ 4” and 3/ 8” thread holes with ARRI locator pins.
ARRI/501 Universal Baseplate
The ARRI Baseplate is a standard bridge plate with the ability to support 15mm LWS rods, making it an ideal element for anyone who is looking to set up their rig with a large lens. This base plate has a side-load camera plate system, allowing you to easily mount your camera from the top. The 501 standard camera plate includes 3/ 8”- 16 tripod mount threads on the bottom. There is also a layer of rubber padding to minimize twisting and prevent scratching when connecting your baseplate.
Sony E Mount Cine Cap
The Sony EMount Cine Cap companies this Sony A7 rig, crafted from a single block of aerospace aluminium alloy metal. This cap provides protection to your camera port, with the engraved lens orientation markings on the cap you can quickly mount and unmount this from your rig.
NATO Rails
The Sony FX3 Ultimate rig has been constructed to include NATO rails on all sides of the cage, with the top NATO rail being removable. This top rail can be replaced with Sony’s FX3 XLR top handle, providing you with more control over your camera without having to adjust your position.
Start/Stop record button
The Sony FX3 XLR top handle features a Start/Stop record button. Allowing you to quickly and easily begin capturing your footage. This supports both Sony LANC and Panasonic Protocols, allowing for compatibility for most cameras such as Z Cam, Blackmagic, Sony, Canon, Panasonic, JVC etc.
Multiple threaded holes
The Kondor Blue Ultimate rig has multiple 1/ 4 “ and four 3/ 8” threaded holes, Allowing you to arrange any accessories you might have. Each of the threaded holes has Arri Locator Pins for Anti-twist accessories.
