Kondor Blue’s Sony A7S II Cage has been developed to provide you with the best starting point to create your own ideal rig for your Sony A7 series camera. A compact and sturdy camera cage is a great starting point for building your own rig.
Features a quick-release Arca swiss plate system.
The quick-release Arca Swiss Plate system allows for a level of flexibility and security when it comes to your filming preferences. Quickly and efficiently switch from using your rig to a tripod in a matter of moments. Ideal for when you don’t want to use your heavy rig.
A curved design
The cage itself has been designed for a high level of functionality, with the cage being created using a curved design to allow you to have access to all of the available controls on your Sony A7. Allowing you to shoot without becoming hindered by the cage itself.
Multiple 1/ 4” and 3/ 8” thread holes
The body of the cage has been constructed with a multitude of 1/ 4” thread holes. Allowing you plenty of opportunities to mount accessories to the cage itself. Along with two 3/ 8” mounting points on the top and on the left side of the cage, both of these are ARRI pin holes allowing you to secure your anti-twist accessories to the camera cage effectively.
NATO rails on the left and topside of the cage.
The NATO rails on the Sony A7S III Cages allow you to attach a remote trigger top handle. Simply slide the handle into place and secure it to the cage.
Trigger Top Handle for A7 Series Cameras
The top handle comes with a cable to connect your Sony A7 Series camera to the top handle. Letting you make use of the start/ stop recording functionality that is inbuilt into the top handle. The handle is once again full of 1/ 4” thread mounting points, along with a 15mm rod mount on the front of the handle.
Two cold shoe mounts
There is a cold shoe mount on the top and the back of the trigger top handle. Even at this simple stage, you can easily add a number of accessories to your rig to make it suit your filming needs.
Off Centre Design
When connected to the Sony A7S cage the trigger top handle is located slightly off centre. This off-centre design has been carefully constructed to allow for a more overall balance once a lens has been attached to the camera, as this will shift the centre of gravity more towards the lens. Making it ideal for handheld shooting.
