- AF now up to professional standard. Silent shooting without having to really worry about the negatives of using an electronic shutter such as banding and rolling shutter. Button layout much better. New joystick works amazingly for moving AF point very quickly and easily. Much better battery. 20fps shooting is just rediculously amazing. Depending on what you are shooting it can be overkill and just fill your cards but it very nice to have the option. The new My Menu tab in the menu now is a great addition that Sony should give all of its Apha cameras via firmware update really. Movie button ha been moved to a much better location. EVF is one of the best available now. Big bright and high frame rate giving exceptional clear and sharp picture with zero blackout which is a very nice creature that you quickly get spoilt with and notice blackout a lot more when reverting to use another camera. Also really nice to have a huge buffer and an indicator option on the display showing how full the buffer is getting when shooting multiple shots so you can avoid filling the buffer. Also nice to be able to hit play and review images whilst the buffer is unloading and the camera shows how many files are left to unload from the buffer during this time too which is great. Very nice to have to ability to set override functions for AF for instance. You are able to set the AF on back button focus to have an override feature and be set to always use single shot focus rather than continuous even if you are set to continuous on the physical dial. This allows to always quickly use focus recompose technique if needed. Finally 2 SD card slots.

- AF is great but don't overly depend on functions such as eye AF. It often works very well, but have still had a higher success rate when compared to the standard focus recompose. Eye AF is a very nice function when it is dead on but sometimes it can't alway keep up in a dynamic situation for a professional shoot when you have to nail the majority of shots. Reliability of AF is always more important than ease of use in a professional situation. Nice to have 2 card slots. Downside only is that only Slot 1 is UHS ii and Slot 2 is UHS i. Would have been nice to have both at USH ii really. Buffer is great but if you do fill it then you have to wait quite a long time whilst the camera is locked up. You are locked out of the menu whilst the buffer is unloading files even if it's just a few. It is fast however provided you haven't filled the buffer and this is only a minor downside as menu use shouldn't be so important at this time anyway. Grip is still a bit too small for a professional camera where you can be holding and handling it for a long time such as during a wedding. A grip extender can be bought but this takes up the thread attachment at the bottom, covers the battery door and is over £100 for a tiny piece of plastic. Tilt screen is nice but still limited on how much you can tilt it. Touch screen is available but limited use and not really that useful in real situations. Battery is good but still not as good as dslr competitors. This is expected however due to EVF and more power usage required during use.
