One of Leica's most popular analogue M cameras is once again available from new with this run of Leica M6 bodies. Whilst continuing to feature the incredible build structure and image quality of the original M6 cameras, this version sees improvements to the Rangefinder itself and its finishing materials.
Leica M6 is born again
This Leica M6 Body Only is an intuitive and compact 35mm SLR camera, featuring an improved rangefinder (with coated glass surfaces and a battery warning), black leatherette, and a new ISO dial. Find your own creative process with an analogue camera that symbolises quintessential photography, achieving pictures that are both impactful and personal.
Fast and bright
The mechanical shutter has a top speed of 1/1000s to reduce the blur on fast-moving subjects and a flash sync speed of up to 1/50s helping to brighten your film photography in darker environments. The bright-line rangefinder also features automatic parallax compensation to keep the horizontal and vertical difference between the viewfinder and lens in line with the relevant focus setting. This on top of the improved coated glass surfaces of the rangefinder will help you avoid soft or out-of-focus images with greater ease.
The benefits of film
With the Leica M6, you can achieve a natural grain that gives your images a distinct feel unique to film cameras. The camera’s manual focus offers you a working range of 70cm to infinity allowing shots at a variety of distances without the pixelation that comes with a mirrorless or DSLR camera.
Redesigned body
The reissued Leica M6 offers the same closed full metal housing as the original, but with a solid brass top cap and bottom plates, scratch-resistant matte black finish, and black leatherette. As well as this, included is a black leather carrying strap with embossed Leica lettering in keeping with the first M6 carrying strap’s design.
Packaging
The packaging is also in the style of the original M6 box.
