Audio on the Go
The functionality of the Go Mic Clip-on is beyond that of other USB microphones owing to its foldable and portable design. The integrated clip allows the microphone to be mounted directly onto a laptop or used as a desk stand. The Go Mic Clip-On can even be mounted to a standard microphone stand with a 3/8"-19 mic stand adapter.
Excellent Sound Quality
Choose between cardioid and omnidirectional recording functions to capture excellent quality audio for whatever your project requires. In cardioid (unidirectional) mode the mic will pick up the performer in front of the mic, rejecting noises from behind and to the sides in order to eliminate unnecessary ambient sound. Opt for omnidirectional mode when recording multiple people, for example, sitting around a table discussing an idea, in Omni mode the microphone will pick up sound in a 360° pattern. For subjects producing louder audio, the -10dB pad provides additional headroom to cope with the extra sound and protects the audio track from overloading. The green recording light will also flash red when the track is overloaded.

The Go Mic Clip-on is compatible with both Mac & Windows, as well as most iOS and Android devices, with no drivers required. The microphone simply plugs in via the USB cable and is ready to go. There is even a 3.5mm headphone output for real-time direct monitoring of the audio. What is this mic best suited for?
The Go Mic Clip-on is very well suited for voice-over artists and recording audio for YouTube. Its small size and clip-on design also make it a great option for anyone working from home looking to improve their audio when giving remote presentations or in important meetings.
This microphone can record music too, however, if you are looking for a more dedicated option we suggest checking out the Samson Q2U or the Samson G-Track Pro.
How small is it really?
The Go Mic is 7cm x 4.3cm x 2.3cm making it smaller than a smartphone but with much better audio record quality.
When should I use Cardioid over Omnidirectional?
Cardioid: record in cardioid when it’s just one person or instrument in front of the microphone. If you are speaking place the mic around 4 to 18 inches away, for specific instruments this distance varies.
Omnidirectional: record in omnidirectional when there are multiple people or instruments recording at once for example a group of singers or a table-top podcast discussion. Keep the distance to about 4 to 18 inches for omnidirectional too.
