The RF 800mm exceeds the performance standards set by its predecessor, the EF 800mm. Featuring Fluorite, UD and Super UD lens elements with advanced coatings, the lens sets new and incredibly high standards in optical excellence.

An 800mm long focal length need not strike fear into the heart of a photographer when it comes to handling and control. Canon’s lightest and shortest 800mm L-series lens yet (when being compared to the likes of the Canon RF 800mm F/11 IS STM Lens), the RF 800mm’s weight distribution allows for precise control and accurate AF.
Classic L-series Design
With the priority on usability, the RF 800mm features a magnesium alloy casing and heat insulation paint that protects the precious optics inside. Dust and moisture are repelled by Fluorine on the outer elements.
Built for Canon EOS R
The RF 800mm lens features an aperture mechanism with 1/8th stop increments and a minimum focus distance of just 2.6m, these factors bring shooting flexibility. Couple these with the image stabilisation from your canon mirrorless camera, such as the Canon EOS R5, and you have a system that works seamlessly together to provide you with better stability and confidence.
