Fujifilm GFX 100S Large Format Camera
Get all of the detail. A huge 102MP BSI CMOS 44x33mm sensor sits snuggly within this compact and easy-to-handle body. The smaller design boasts IBIS with up to 6 stops of compensation and is also weather-resistant, meaning you no longer have to restrict your medium format photography to the confines of the studio.
The NEW GFX 100S builds on the reputation of its predecessor, the GFX 100. Fujifilm’s philosophy of portability and mobility is one that aims to take medium-format photography to places it has never been before.
Design and Build
The GFX 100S is one of the most compact and high-performance medium-format cameras in the world. Fujifilm state that it is more advanced than any other GFX system camera to date and combines the very best of their imaging technology into one camera that weighs a mere 900g.
Designed to be of a similar shape and size to the full-frame camera system, the GFX 100S houses a sensor that is 1.7 times larger and also offers up to 6-stops of five-axis in-body image stabilisation (IBIS). Providing 6-stops of CIPA-rated stabilisation, a 0.5-stop improvement over the GFX100.
A smaller focal plane shutter system allows the shape of the camera to be designed much shorter than the likes of the Fujifilm GFX 100. A much clearer and simplified top plate also bring new dials with less clutter, allowing you to get on with business.
Performance and Technology
102MP images made at the speed of a compact mirrorless camera. The high-performance quad-core X-Processor 4 CPU utilises the large format CMOS sensor to deliver images of super-high quality, even when working with a high ISO.
A back-illuminated structure gives a superb level of light reception. This gives excellent noise reduction and an impressive dynamic range plus fast readout - even against the high count of pixels.
The GFX 100S’s autofocus is unlike any other typically found in medium-format and large-format cameras. On-sensor phase detection pixels cover almost 100% of the imaging sensor thus providing an AF system that can focus in as little as 0.18 seconds even in luminance levels as low as -5.5EV when using lenses such as the Fujifilm GF 80mm F1.7 R WR.
An updated focus tracking algorithm is powered by the X-Processor 4 which keeps subjects in constant focus when using the Tracking AF and Face/Eye AF functions.
Fujifilm Colour Science
This colour science is legendary amongst image-makers and the GFX 100S gives you access to this wealth of prestige and history at the touch of a button. With a choice of 19 exclusive Fujifilm Film Simulation modes, it’s incredibly easy to achieve fantastic colour straight out of the camera.

Video Capability
The Fujifilm GFX100S hasn’t left the hybrid shooter in the dark either. Capable of cinematic 12-Bit ProRes Raw 4K at 30p with an output of 4:2:0/4:2:2 10-bit (SD/HDMI), the GFX 100S aids creativity by giving you a cinema-quality video output.
In addition to being able to record 4K footage in a 16:9 aspect ratio, the GFX100S also supports the 17:9 aspect ratio that is frequently used in digital cinema. Commonly used compression codecs like H.264 and H.265 are also available, along with professional standards, like the REC.2100 supported Hybrid Gamma Log (HLG), or F-Log for complete creative control.
Record 12-bit RAW, via HDMI, directly to an Atomos Ninja V Recording Monitor to later be output as ProRes RAW, providing you with maximum flexibility with image-based adjustments and colour-grading options in post-production.
400MP Multi-shot Pixel Shift
As seen in the Fujifilm GFX 100, the camera is able to combine 16 RAW images into a single 400MP image. The feature works by combining the 102-megapixel sensor, the X Processor 4, and the in-body image stabilization system to move the image sensor in 0.5-pixel increments and record high-resolution RGB pixel information over the course of a 16-image capture.
Multiple LCD Monitors
The GFX 100S features a 3.2-inch LCD monitor to the rear of the camera and a 1.8-inch sub-LCD monitor on its top plate. This sub-LCD can be customised to suit your needs. Show key EXIF data or set to display the status of key functions or even the available capacity of your storage media.
The 3.2-inch LCD monitor to the rear in a touch-capable, 2.36-million-dot monitor with 100% coverage. It can be tilted in three directions, 90º up, 45º down and 60º right.
