Dedicated GFX Mount
This classic 45mm focal length is the professional lens for Fujifilm GFX cameras at an affordable price. The lens is constructed with a G Mount and is dedicated to work with the Fujifilm GFX 50 and 100 series medium format cameras. When on these cameras the focal length is the equivalent of 36mm.
Reinforced Construction
Irix lens engineers have designed this lens to be ready for anything. It has their Dragonfly finish that features reinforced internal construction based on metal elements, a scratch-resistant finish, anti-slip focus ring with special finish for easy focusing, sealings to protect against dust and water and a rigid carrying case included.
In addition to the Dragonfly construction finish, the lens does not move when pulling focus. This eliminates the chances of dirt particles getting swept into the internal structure and ruining the glass and mechanics. It truly is a lens that can be taken anywhere.
Weather-Sealed
The Irix Dragonfly finish is made up of a combination of reinforced metal and composite elements that makes the lens extremely durable and weather resistant. Whether you are photographing in the desert, the arctic or a studio in England, this lens has numerous seals so that lens and camera are protected at all times. Allowing you to focus on the photography rather than the weather predictions.
Smooth Aperture
The Irix 45mm lens is equipped with a step-less aperture ring for the smoothest transitions. This design is ideal not only for photography but also for anyone using their GFX 50 or 100 series camera for some high-quality videography. The operation of the aperture ring is smooth, quiet and highly satisfying.
Lens Construction
Constructed out of 11 elements in 9 groups with one ASP (aspherical) element, this lens is designed for high-quality image-making. The parameter that this fast-aperture lens gives provides exceptional light transmittance, even in low light scenarios. Create a unique depth of field and beautiful object separation between the background and subject for incredibly detailed images at any aperture. Additionally, the 9 rounded aperture blades in the lens interlock to provide gentle background blur and bokeh that is smooth and circular.
Focus Lock
The Irix 45mm f 1.4 GFX lens includes two special features. The first being the Focus Lock that allows you to lock the focus ring in position when shooting. It is a perfect feature for those who wish to zone focus on a specific distance or maintain the focus when set, particularly useful when focusing on infinity during landscape photography.
Focus Ring
The second of the two special features is the Focus Ring. As the 45mm f1.4 GFX lens has only manual focus, Irix have placed extra time into making focusing on this lens as pleasurable as possible. Complete with Irix’s special ring material that has extra grip, this mechanical ring has high strength and resistance to adverse conditions. Additional texturing helps with precise focusing and dedicated embossed dimples in the ring allow for the ring’s position to be easily found during a busy shoot.
