Who are German Precision Optics?
You might not have heard of them yet, but German Precision Optics (GPO) matches the likes of Zeiss, Lecia and Steiner in their optical quality. But do they have the power to beat established brands and make it into your pocket?
Who are German Precision Optics?
German Precision Optics, also known as GPO, is the newest company turning innovative German design toward sporting optics. Relatively new to the optics world they should by no means be overlooked. Their optical quality matches the likes of Zeiss, Leica and Steiner, while their presentation feels much more along the lines of premium optics companies such as Swarovski.
A small but dynamic and knowledgable team, with over 100 years of combined outdoor experience, GPO are constantly striving to produce products that match excellent quality with superb value for money. They are quickly becoming known as the company responsible for creating some of the best looking and best-performing optics in their class.
Engineered in Germany
Conceived, designed and developed in Germany, GPO specialises in producing optical products that you won’t find anywhere else. They have a unique corporate structure that allows them to build higher-quality products with better features at similar prices, or similar-quality products at better prices.
Their goal is to create premium optics for professional users, at affordable prices. Bringing a new and refreshing perspective to the world of optics that puts quality over profit at the centre of their ethos.
The Black Box
Opening a GPO product is nothing less than a delight. They have considered every aspect down to the quality of the tasteful black box that holds the wonders within. Every pair of binoculars comes with all the accessories required to immediately get outdoors and enjoy nature.
Included with every pair is a top-quality hard carry case for protection, a comfortably padded neoprene neck strap, objective and ocular covers, a cleaning cloth and, of course, an instruction manual. It is the presentation of all this that makes GPO stand out and feel much more premium than their competitors.
Best in Class
GPO optics use world-class components in their Extra-Low Dispersion and High-Definition binoculars. Featuring multiple coated layers such as dielectric mirror coatings that reflect more than 99% of light across the full spectrum, and multi-coats that reduce chromatic aberrations, German Precision Optics displays superb true-to-life visuals.
Designed and developed by experts in Germany, GPO binoculars are constructed out of an all-magnesium chassis body. This material delivers strong and durable optics that, starting at just 500g, are also incredibly lightweight. An outer multi-texture body armour offers further protection and grip.
PASSION – the Name of the Game
Passion is both the name and the game for GPO. Their Passion ED and premium Passion HD binoculars are outstanding examples of the convergence of talent and drive. Not content to make run-of-the-mill binoculars, these optics feature GPO’s own GPObright multicoating technology and PASSIONdrop hydrophobic coating that cannot be found elsewhere.
Binocular Overview
German Precision Optics binoculars are available in two different standards; ED and HD. Unlike other optics companies, GPO labels their premium binoculars as HD (High Definition) whilst their ED range (Extra-Low Dispersion) are their more affordable option.
